Timothy C. Bennett is an attorney with nearly twenty-five years of experience in sophisticated international corporate, finance, and bankruptcy related transactions. He joined Fulcrum Capital as general counsel in 2017. Presently, Mr. Bennett manages the day to day transactional, litigation, and regulatory compliance matters for Fulcrum globally, and serves as the risk manager for Fulcrum’s investment committee. Before Fulcrum, Mr. Bennett was senior counsel at Seyfarth Shaw and the leader of that firm’s Global Distressed, Illiquid, and Special Situations Trading group. Prior to that role, he was an associate in the banking and finance group in the New York office of Clifford Chance. Mr. Bennett also worked as an associate with Brown Rudnick and K&L Gates, and began his career at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault. He has recent significant experience in transactions involving, among other areas, distressed loans, bankruptcy claims, litigation finance, receivables factoring, sovereign debt, cryptocurrency, and tariff related transactions. He received his JD and MBA (Finance) from Seton Hall University and his BA (History) from the College of the Holy Cross. Mr. Bennett is admitted to practice law in New York and Massachusetts and is based in Fulcrum’s Boston office. Mr. Bennett resides in Andover, MA, with his wife, three children, and beagle, and in his spare time serves as a youth hockey coach and board member as well as a religious education instructor.
