Mrs. Zawel serves as Trade Desk Attorney at Fulcrum. Prior to joining Fulcrum, Mrs. Zawel worked in the legal department at ArcLight Capital Partners, a Boston-based private equity company focused on the energy sector. Mrs. Zawel earned her JD and MBA (Leadership) from Pepperdine University and her BBA (Marketing) from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. Mrs. Zawel is a member in good standing of the Texas Bar.
Mr. King serves as Director of Research at Fulcrum. Prior to joining Fulcrum, Mr. King was a senior analyst at Beach Point Capital Management LP, a credit hedge fund focused on stressed/distressed opportunities, where he invested across the capital structure and participated on creditor committees. Before Beach Point, Mr. King was an analyst at Monarch Alternative Capital LP, where he analyzed and invested in distressed/event-driven opportunities. Prior to Monarch, Mr. King worked in the Recapitalization and Restructuring group at Jefferies & Company, where he helped guide numerous debtors and creditor committees through restructurings as a financial advisor. Mr. King graduated with a degree in Economics from Harvard University.
Mr. Horrigan has over 24 years of experience in the global distressed market. Prior to founding Fulcrum, he was a Senior Vice President on the Credit Sales and Trading desk at APS Financial. Prior to joining APS, Mr. Horrigan worked in the Mortgage Strategies group at PaineWebber. He earned his MBA from the University of Texas and graduated with honors from the Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to beginning his career in finance, Mr. Horrigan worked as an Aerospace Structural Design Engineer for both General Dynamics and NASA.
Timothy C. Bennett is an attorney with over twenty years of experience in sophisticated international corporate, finance, and bankruptcy related transactions. He joined Fulcrum Capital as general counsel in 2017. Presently, Mr. Bennett manages the day to day transactional, litigation, and regulatory/compliance affairs for Fulcrum globally and serves as the risk manager for Fulcrum’s investment committee. Before Fulcrum, Mr. Bennett was senior counsel at Seyfarth Shaw and the leader of that firm’s Global Distressed, Illiquid, and Special Situations Trading group. Prior to that role, he was an associate in the banking and finance group in the New York office of Clifford Chance. Mr. Bennett has recent significant experience in transactions involving, among other areas, distressed loans, bankruptcy claims, litigation finance, receivables factoring, sovereign debt and cryptocurrency. Mr. Bennett received his JD and MBA (Finance) from Seton Hall University and his BA (History) from the College of the Holy Cross. Mr. Bennett is presently admitted to practice law in the State of New York and Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He resides in Andover, MA, with his wife, three children, and beagle, where he is a youth hockey coach, president of the Andover Hockey Association, and a religious education teacher at St. Augustine’s Church.
Mr. Petrus joined Fulcrum in 2019 and serves as Vice President responsible for EMEA opportunities coverage. Prior to joining Fulcrum, Mr. Petrus spent his internship at Greylock Capital, New York, covering distressed and high-yield debt in Europe, Africa, and Middle East. Before that, Viktor spent 5 years as a portfolio manager of the second-largest corporate pension fund in Ukraine and has additional 6 years of experience in sales & trading. Mr. Petrus received his MBA degree from Johnson School of Management (Cornell).
